Clay Johnson
Being fourth generation to the Red River Valley in New Mexico, Clay has deep roots in the soil. He cattle ranches, farms, and raises horses just north of Questa, New Mexico. He’s grown up his whole life with stories of the years gone by, and has been working his own endeavors long enough to begin to write some of his own.
Since 2010, Clay has begun to commit much of his time and effort to develop his own herd of high altitude Limousin cattle, as well as exceptional Quarter Horses for riding, ranching, and roping.
The Johnson family name has been involved with the beef industry for years, but it wasn’t until Clay invested in Limousin that the specific breed became the focus. Living at 7,500 ft altitude for most of the year, and summer above 10,000 ft altitude, these cows are well accustomed to the mountain range.
From a young age, Clay had a passion for horses. As soon as he could climb on, he started to ride. Through the years he began to rope and rodeo, having quite a bit of success calf roping and team roping. In his most recent years, Clay has turned his focus more to developing a breeding program, raising Quarter Horses made to ranch, rope, and be quality performance and all around horses.
Recently, Clay has had quite a bit of success team roping. In Las Vegas, in 2023, Clay was heeling on home raised “My Stylish Charm” for Nano Garza in the #11.5, and they made the short go. In December 2021, Clay was heading for Justin Price, where together they won the #13.5 Heartland World Series of Team Roping Finale. This was a huge win, as Clay was riding “Stylish Lady Love,” a 2015 red roan mare that he bred, raised, and trained himself. More affectionately known as Maggie, this mare is evidence of a solid team roping program we are excited to continue building upon.

Arden Foster
Growing up, all Arden ever knew was an English saddle, riding hunters and equitation at local and A rated levels. When she attended college, she joined the Berry College Equestrian Team, and competed in Hunt Seat, and dabbled in Western.
Following graduation from Berry College in Georgia, her home state, Arden headed west to work on dude ranch for the next 8 summers. She learned about riding horses in the mountains, began her team roping career, and it led to her finding other jobs and opportunities to begin working with young horses.
Now, years after switching disciplines and lifestyles, Arden is invested in the western way of life. She brings to the table of horse training a wealth of knowledge for flat work and understanding of horse mechanics, and is working on her roping career. Arden has nabbed a few buckles, a saddle, and an NTR #9.5 win over the last few years.
Arden has also started her own side gig of photography, primarily focusing on horses. She heads up all the website and sale photos through her business, Cowgirl AF Photography. We are excited to have her on our team!
