Here at Johnson Ranch, we believe in raising horses with conformation and mind to be successful in and out of the arena.
In our program, we value mare power, and we have it in our herd, bred to great stallions here on the ranch. Some of the bloodlines on this ranch go back to horses chosen by Clay’s parents, and by his grandparents. Good horses are something that this family has believed in for generations, and we are working to continue that hard work.

Broodmare Bloodlines
Zan It
We have two own daughters of Zan It, by Hollywood Dun It x Sparkles La Zanna by Zan Parr Bar. These mares have proven their ability to raise good minded foals, and exceptional conformation.
Drifts Chip
In any western performance discipline, the name Drifts Chip speaks for itself. For years we have had an own daughter of Drifts Chip on the ranch, and she has raised numerous exceptional foals for our riding and breeding program to continue this lineage.
Two Eyed Red Buck
With a stallion on site for years that was an own son of Two Eyed Red Buck, we kept mares out of this great palomino. We also have an own daughter of Two Eyed Red Buck out of an own daughter of Beau Bonanza.
Sun Frost
A stallion that is a grandson of Sun Frost, and two granddaughters of PC Frenchman’s Hayday allow us to get the cross that everyone is looking for: run and cow. We believe in the performance potential of this cross, and are proud to raise them.
And more…
In addition to these mentioned bloodlines, we have many others worth mentioning: Starbert, Easily Smashed, Blues Kingfisher, Playin Stylish, Peppy San Badger, Shining Spark, and Gallo Del Cielo.
The Stallions
We put a lot of thought into the stallions each one of these mares is bred to, as we are always trying to improve our program. Check our the stallions we have here!
