High Altitude Limousin Cattle

Our Limousin cattle are bred and raised to be high altitude, well made cattle. We pap test all our cows and the bulls. Pap testing is Pulmonary Arterial Pressure testing, and it’s a scoring system used to evaluate and breed cattle that aren’t susceptible to high altitude disease, also known as brisket. Because they are born and live at 7,700 ft, and run in the summer in the Carson National Forest, where the elevation is 10,000 ft, the pap testing is vital in our operation of raising high altitude beef cattle. They are a good herd of cows who raised exceptional calves every year.

We have a handful of herd sires on site, and carefully select bulls that we use for artificial insemination. If you are interested in learning more about our program, please don’t hesitate to call us. We look forward to hearing from you!

We’d like to thank everyone who reached out to us early this year about purchasing and leasing bulls. We are proud of say that all our bulls have gone through private treaty. As a result, we did not have a bull sale in 2023 or 2024. Check back with us in 2025 if you are interested in a great high altitude bull!
